ADVERTISEMENT

Ladies and gentlemen, this week you are supposed to prepare a newspaper advertisement.

Please follow the procedure below.

1- Decide on a product or a service you want to advertise.

2- Draw a picture or take a photo to use in your advertisement. (Be sure that it is original and not a real product or advertisement)

3- Write a short slogan for the product.

4- Under the advertisement, give contact information of the company and some info about the product.

Hello friends. This week in the newspaper project you are going to comment on a photo that you will take.

Please follow the below procedure:

1- Take a photo that shows the student life in Eskisehir.

2- Write your comments about this photo. Please tell when and where you took it. What does the photo show? How does this photo make you feel?

3- Upload your photo to your blog page and publish your comment until April 10, 2009. Bring a printout of it to the class on Friday.

This week you will write the second item for the newspaper project.

This week's task is a FILM REVIEW.

1- Please choose a movie you have watched. It can be your favorite movie, the movie you hated, or the one you have recently watched.

2- Write some information about its producer, director, actors or actresses.

3- Summarize the scenerio or the story which the movie tells.

4- You may give information about the soundtrack of the movie, the use of visual effects etc.

5- Write your criticisms about the movie. Did you like it or not? What was good about this movie? What were the bad points? Would you recommend this film to your friends? Why/ Why not?

Newspaper Project 1

Hello UpInt 6!!!

Welcome to your new writing class. You know we will create a class newspaper together. Here is the first task you should do:

1-Choose a cafe/ restaurant/ night club you like or don't like in Eskisehir.

2-Take a picture of it by using your mobile phones or digital cameras.

3- Write a review about this place. Describe it in detail, mention about its menu, service, staff, prices, atmosphere. Include your comments.

4- Write this review in your blog pages and post the picture.

5- Take a print out and bring a copy of it to the class to have peer comment.

Important Note!!! You should finish this task until the end of next week. In the last writing class next week we will have a peer feedback session on your texts.

THE GOLDEN RULES ABOUT HAVING BEAUTIFUL GIRLFRIEND

I would like yo mention about the three fundamental rules in order to have beautiful girlfriend.First one is that you must be yourself .I mean that you must believe her without any of pretence or lie ,so she believes all you said her and trust you.The second one is that you must be gentleman.Somebodies think that girls like rude and serious men, but this idea is wrong .Actually, girls like kind and gentilman men.For instance,you can buy some flowers for her and give her suddenly.It helps you to show your love to her.The last rule of getting beautiful girlfriend is that you must be respectful to her. You must consider this important fact.She is a human and she has emotions, feelings, decisions like you.You must listen her and respect her thoughts.For example,she may be a member of a political party.The princibles of this political party may be stupit to you.In spite of this situtotion you must understand and respect her decision.In conclusion, ıf you obey this rules you can make a nice girlfriend.

SQUASH ON THE BAKERY

Ingredients For souse
4 squashes, splited 3 glasses milk
A head of anion Besamel souse
2 pieces of chicken breast 200 g sheep cheese, grated
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 teaspoon of salt and pepper
1 jar of garnish
3 tablespoon of oil

Squash on the bakery is a light and delicious meal to make and to eat if you follaw these steps.First of all, split the squashes in two pieces and carve inside of the squashes.Then, boil the squashes in ten minutes.At the same time, cut the chicken breasts, tomatoes and onion into one-ich pieces.Next,heat the oil,put the onions in a frying pan.After that, fry them until they are soft, add the chicken breasts and add the tomatoes.Then,wait for a few minutus to make them fried.After they frys take over of furnace.Soon after, add the a jar of garnish and add salt and pepper. Then, mix all of them. In addition, take the boiled squashes out into the tray,and put all of them to frying pan on the squashes.After squashes are stuffed, prepare the besamel souse in the another pot. Firstly, put the besamel souse in a pot, and pour the milk on the besamel souse.As soon as the besamel souse boils, pour the besamel souse on the squashes one by one.Eventually, sprinkle the grated sheep cheese on the squashes, and put the tray into the bakery. As a result, making a wonderful,delicious and different meal is that easy with these instructions. You should certainly try it.

BEYOND THE SMILE

The life is full of regret. You can see the regret where you are looking at. You can see the regret when you look at me. I am writing this in the middle of the night, and I regret because I am telling myself why I haven't done this work in advance...offf. I have so much regrets. Some of them are about love... There is a classic saying " I wish I could turn the time back." That is the situation I am completely in. However, I don't want to be sad. The half of the glass is full. We should gain some experience and look for the next decision that we will make. With this experience which we 've gained from our regrets and our wrong decisions, we can make the right decision for the next time. Experience is a useful thing but gaining it can be hard and harmful.

What I want to say is that life is difficult and regrets can make the life unbearable but we have to resist and keep on living. Get up, stand up, and don't give up the fight!!!

SOUND WAVE

The sun just set. The weather was a little bit red and black. I was walking near the road, in the rush-hour. I saw a lot of cars and a lot of people. All of them were going somewhere, but I wasn't. I was thinking about my situation. What was I doing? What would I do? What must I do? There was no answer inside. I turned on my mp3 player. I couldn't hear anything except music. I was thinking that "I love this song". The name of the song was "Reset" There were no lyrics in the song. Only music, but the music told everything which I wanted. I wanted that all of the cars, people, roads, buildings suddenly disappeared in a huge sound wave. People who were in the car got out their cars and they were swimming too. And I was flying through people. They were enjoying their situation. There was nobody who thought about the rush-hour or life problems, or making more money. There was only music around us. Notes, instruments, sounds made a big shield around us. We wondered around the city. All of the people joined us while we were flying above. After that we turned around and looked our city. It looked like a scene from a nuclear war. There was nothing except us. I was levitating down and music stopped. Suddenly, I opened my eyes and I noticed that I was standing in the middle of the road. All of the people shouted at me and all of the cars blew their horns at me. I was putting a smile upon my face and changed the song.

Why did you make me sad?

I didn't deserve them.
